About Namebeam

Namebeam checks whether AI engines name your business when a customer asks for a recommendation, and hands you the raw dated transcript instead of a score. The transcript is the evidence: which businesses were named, which sources the engine cited, word for word, with the date.

The company publishes its own record in public, losses included. On its own first check it scored zero out of five and published that with the date on it. It also publishes original citation research: across 99 citations on local business queries, the business's own website carried 49.5 percent of citations and roundup listicles 2.0 percent; across 93 citations on category and tool queries, vendor websites carried 40.9 percent and community 24.7 percent.

The free check runs at check.namebeam.ai with no card and no account. Every check also becomes a row in a public dated corpus on GitHub, so the record can be audited by anyone.

Solid tool, worth checking out

Namebeam does a good job at what it sets out to do. Namebeam: Get picked by AI. Make sure AI names your business.: When customers ask ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, or Google's AI for a recommenda. I think it's best suited for people who need this specific functionality. Would love to see more integrations in the future.
