Anti-spam policy
Every email CodeTrendy sends, and how to stop it.
CodeTrendy (codetrendy.com) sends four kinds of email. This page lists each one honestly: who gets it, how often, and the one click that ends it. If something we sent does not match this page, tell us and we will fix it.

What we send
Account and security email
- Who gets it
- People who created an account or bought a listing. One exception: when someone claims a listing, the business contact on that listing gets a single security notice with a link to dispute the claim.
- What it is
- Email verification and activation reminders, sign-in links, password resets, receipts, listing approval or rejection, payment problems, claim notices.
- How often
- Sent only when something happens to an account, a listing or a payment.
- How to stop it
- Delete your account in Settings. Security notices (password resets, claim notices) are always delivered unless the address has bounced or reported spam.
Member email
- Who gets it
- Registered users only.
- What it is
- Reminders to finish a listing you started, traffic reports and upgrade offers for listings you own, invitations to refer another maker.
- How often
- Short, spaced sequences tied to what you did (or left unfinished) on the site.
- How to stop it
- The unsubscribe link in every message, your mail client's unsubscribe button, or the email settings in your account.
Requested resources
- Who gets it
- Only an address someone typed into a form on this site to request a guide.
- What it is
- The guide that was requested.
- How often
- One message.
- How to stop it
- Nothing more is sent. The unsubscribe link in the message blocks the address for good.
Business outreach to product makers
- Who gets it
- The business contact address of a product launched on a public launch platform or startup directory (for example Product Hunt, BetaList, Indie Hackers, SaaSHub or Fazier), or of a recently registered website found in public Certificate Transparency logs.
- What it is
- A short, individually addressed note that names the product and offers a paid listing in the directory.
- How often
- At most three messages per address from this site, at least five days apart. Never to consumer lists, never to bought or rented lists.
- How to stop it
- One click on the unsubscribe link or button, or a reply. The sequence also ends on its own when a message bounces, when you reply, when you create an account, or when your product is listed.
CodeTrendy is one of 3 directories run by the same operator, together with sitepatent.com and mediapronet.com. Each runs its own outreach, so a maker can hear from more than one of them. Unsubscribes, bounces and spam complaints are shared: stopping email from any one of them stops it from all of them.
Safeguards that run on every send
One-click unsubscribe
Member, resource and outreach messages carry an unsubscribe link and RFC 8058 List-Unsubscribe headers, so mail clients can show their own unsubscribe button. The one-click unsubscribe works instantly, without a login.
Suppression list
Unsubscribes, bounces (hard and soft), failed deliveries and spam complaints are written to a suppression list. Every member, resource and outreach message is checked against it before sending.
Replies end the sequence
Any reply from the address we wrote to ends the outreach sequence. Replies that ask us to stop are detected automatically and suppress the address, and for company domains every other address we hold at that domain. Every reply also lands in an inbox we monitor.
Checked addresses only
Before the first outreach message, every address passes syntax, domain, mail-server and quality checks. Addresses that fail are never sent to.
Authenticated mail
Mail is signed with DKIM and covered by SPF, and the domain publishes a DMARC policy of reject, so forged mail claiming to be from us is refused.
No list trading
We never buy, rent or sell email addresses.
Got a message you did not want?
Forward it, with full headers if you can, to [email protected]. A person reads every report. Your address is suppressed as soon as we read it, and we check how it reached our list.
Blocklist operators and mailbox providers can use the same address. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
